CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1. ELIGIBILITY
a) Entry to the 2009 Inglis 2yo Premier Race is restricted to horses purchased at the 2008 Premier Yearling Sale on 2, 3, 4 & 6 March 2008 conducted by William Inglis & Son Ltd at Oaklands Junction, Melbourne. Only lots sold under the Conditions of Sale at the above sales are eligible for the race subject to observance and performance of William Inglis & Son Limited’s Conditions of Entry and Conditions of Sale.
b) Any horse which is sold by auction or private treaty in any closed race sale other than the 2008 Premier Yearling Sale is automatically ineligible for the 2009 Inglis Premier race regardless of its status prior to any such auction and any funds will be forfeited

2. RACE ENTRIES
Registered eligible 2 YO’s must be nominated for this race with the Trainers Service Centre

3. NOMINATION & ACCEPTANCE

NOMINATION
The sum of $2,200 (incl. GST) must be lodged with William Inglis & Son Limited before 5:00pm on 30 June, 2008.

FINAL ACCEPTANCE
Final acceptance together with the acceptance fee of $1,375 (incl. GST) must be lodged with the relevant race club or Trainers Service Centre in accordance with race acceptances applicable to races on this race day. (The MRC Committee has waived the provisions of LR (a) (iv) with respect to this race).
Nomination and final acceptances must be paid when due or entry will lapse. Should a horse be balloted from the race including an emergency that fails to secure a start, only the Final Acceptance Fee ($1,375 incl. GST) will be refunded. 

4. LATE ENTRIES
There is no provision for Late Entries.

5. WEIGHTS AND PENALTIES
Fillies 53.5kg
Colts/Geldings 55.5kg
Penalties Nil (Apprentice riders cannot claim)

6. CONDITIONS OF BALLOT
The field limit is 16 with provision for four emergencies. In the event that the number of Final Acceptors exceeds the maximum permitted number of starters, elimination will be according to the dross value of prize money won by each acceptor (excluding any VOBIS, SABIS, BOBS or QTIS bonuses). Where prize money is the same or no prize money has been won horses will be balloted by lot by the Melbourne Racing Club.

7. GENERAL CONDITIONS
The nomination of entries in accordance with the conditions set out above are accepted by the Melbourne Racing Club on the express understanding that the owners and trainers of such entries, at the time set down for the running of the race, agree to be bound by the Melbourne Racing Club Rules of Racing and Conditions of Entry laid down from time to time by the Committee of the Melbourne Racing Club and those conditions set out on the Official Entry Form published by the Melbourne Racing Club.

8. THE PRIZEMONEY
The Melbourne Race Club (on behalf of William Inglis & Son Ltd) will distribute prize money of $250,000* as follows:

Super VOBIS Bonus $30,000 ($23,000 owners bonus and $7,000 nomination bonus)

9. VENDOR REGISTRATION CLAUSE
The $250,000 Inglis Premier is to be conducted by Melbourne Racing Club under MRC Rules of Racing. Entries for the race will only be received on condition that the By-Laws, Rules of Racing and Conditions of the Melbourne Racing Club now or hereafter in force shall be binding in all respects.

Only monies payable to nominators of horses placed 1st to 8th inclusive and monies payable to the vendor of the winner, are deemed to be Prize in AR1. Also, the MRC Committee has exempted this race from the operation of LR 47 & LR 72(2) (Trainer and Rider percentages) to the extent only that the rules may have had any application to the monies paid to nominators of unplaced horses and/or to the vendors of the horse placed 1st.
